PROCESSOR UPGRADE
A fast processor (or CPU for Central Processing Unit) is needed for a computer to carry out complex tasks more quickly. All things being equal, the faster the processor, the better overal performance of your system.	:: TIP :: Older systems can benefit most from a processor upgrade as prices have come down and performance will be up.

MEMORY UPGRADE
RAM is used by the computer's operating system to store working data and program information. More RAM icreases your computer's performance by enabling your computer to run more applications at the same time. The more RAM you have the faster your applications will run.	:: TIP :: Lots of RAM is essential for working with graphics or heavy computing.

HARD DRIVE UPGRADE
Large hard drive allows more space for storing files and applications. Most applications require 20 to 70 MB while graphics and MP3 files can take 100 MB and more. Video files are often many gigabytes in size. If you play computer games, download audio and video files (i.e. movies) or work with graphics, you will need a large hard drive.	:: TIP :: With files growing larger and hard drives becoming bigger, faster, and more affordable, it makes good economic sense to buy a hard drive with enough capacity to last or to even add a 2nd hard drive.

OPTICAL DRIVE UPGRADE
Internal DVD-ROM Get a 8x DVD-ROM to enjoy your personal DVD movie theatre built right into your notebook. Our DVD drive will also play CDs, CD-R AND CD-RW discs. Internal DVD/CD-RW Combo A Combo drive is a DVD player and a CD burner in one single module. You need the CD-RW (CD-recordable/CD-rewritable) drive if you want to back up your data or burn your own CDs. Use them over and over again. Make weekly backups of your hard drive. Or transport files between work and home. Internal DVD-R/-RW Based on the DVD-R/-RW (DVD Recordable and ReWritable) format, the DVD Burners support the most widely compatible DVD standard, giving consumers the highest level of compatibility with legacy DVD devices.	:: TIP :: Get a DVD Burner and never run out of room on your hard drive again. With 4.7GB of data storage capability, one DVD-R disc can hold your entire MP-3 collection or all the video from your trip down south.

VGA UPGRADE
Good graphics card is essential for high-performance computing, ultra-smooth game play and digital media experience. If you work with CAD/CAM, 3D modelling or animation applications, or if you use your notebook for gaming, watching movies, digital photography, and home video editing, you need a lot of video memory and the fastest graphics card. Due to our VGA module design, you can now upgrade graphics in high-end EUROCOM models.	:: TIP :: With more high-end graphics applications, computer games, digital photography and movies run on a notebook, it becomes essential to have high-performance graphics with lots of video memory.

NETWORK/WIRELESS UPGRADE
Multi-person households often have multiple computers. With a home network you can share an internet connection, printers and back up your files across multiple computers. EUROCOM offers several solutions to make your Notebook easily integrate itself into your home network.	:: TIP :: Make sure you enable "WEP" incription on your wireless network. This will prevent others from freely using your internet connection or worse, have full access to your computer.
